JANSSEN LAW FIRM SHOWS ITS COMMITMENT TO THE NORTHCOAST COMMUNITY
The Janssen Law Firm decided this year to step up and support Humboldt State University’s radio station KHSU-FM, 90.5. The Janssen Law Firm will sponsor Morning Edition each day as well as Bright Moments with the Redwood Jazz Alliance.
KHSU is located in Arcata, California. KHSU depends upon businesses like the Janssen Law Firm because it is a community sponsored non-commercial public radio station. It is licensed to, supported by, and located on the campus of Humboldt State University in Arcata, California. KHSU broadcast a diverse mix of programs to a population of about 135,000 people throughout Northwest California and Southwest Oregon.
The KHSU mission statement is to educate, enrich, enlighten, and entertain people throughout Northwestern California and Southwestern Oregon by providing innovative, high quality public radio programming. As a public service of Humboldt State University, KHSU strives to present thoughtful and intelligent perspectives on local, national and international issues. Its objectives include fostering the arts, sciences and humanities, giving voice to under-represented points of view, serving minority as well as majority needs, and both guiding and reflecting public intellect and taste. KHSU encourages faculty, student and community participation in programming and other station affairs.
The Janssen Law Firm decided to become one of KHSU’s major underwriters this year, joining a select group of local businesses that have dedicated themselves to helping maintain non-commercial public radio on the North Coast of California. Contributions from listeners and business sponsorships make up over half of KHSU’s annual budget and ensure that KHSU can continue to bring North Coast residents independent, commercial-free, high quality public radio programming.
